How to Make your Houhu Villa B&B Reservation

Please make sure you confirm your reservation within two days by depositing 50% of the total fee for your stay to the following bank account.

Please give us a phone call or send an e-mail once you have made your deposit.  Reservations not confirmed by a deposit within two days may be canceled.  Please make sure to follow all procedures noted above to ensure your reservation rights.  Houhu Villa B&B will not accept responsibility for reservation problems that arise from failure to do so.

All room charges include a complementary breakfast served under the veranda at Houhu House.  Breakfast is served anytime between 8:00 and 9:30am.

If notified in advance, any room may be arranged to accommodate one additional bed.  Please tell us the number of persons included in your reservation so that we can make suitable preparations beforehand.  If more guests plan to stay in a room than the number permitted under the normal room rate, an extra charge of NT$500 per additional person will be billed (NT$200 per additional child 12 years or under).

Reservation details (dates, length of stay, room type, room number) may be altered without penalty any time up to three days (72 hours) prior to your reserved stay.  Reservation deposits paid for reservations canceled more than 72 hours before a reserved stay may either be partially refunded (see below) or used at another time within a six month period.  We apologize that changes requested less than 72 hours before a reserved stay may not be accepted and are ineligible for a reservation deposit refund.

Reservations canceled more than three days (72 hours) prior to the reserved stay date will be subject to a penalty charge of thirty percent (30%).
Reservations canceled within three days (72 hours) and up to 24 hours of the reserved stay date will be subject to a penalty charge of fifty percent (50%).
Reservations canceled on the reserved stay date are ineligible for a refund of reservation deposit.

Should a natural calamity (e.g., earthquake, typhoon) be known to have cut transportation between Houhu and a guest’s point of departure, the guest may either get a full refund of the reservation deposit or revise his/her reservation.

Houhu Villa B&B takes special pride in its secluded location, tranquil atmosphere and rich natural surroundings.  We are nearly an hour’s drive from Hualien City and some distance from any “city lights”.  Therefore, if you prefer urban enticements or are not used to quietude, please think again before making your Houhu reservation.
